Background:
At the age of 8 Hachim Mastour had already attracted attention from both Real Madrid and Barcelona as well as Manchester City, although his parents felt a lifestyle change would be too much and so opted to stay in Italy. In 2012 Hachim signed from Reggiana for Milan for approximately €500,000. Since signing Mastour has already made himself known with both AC Milan players and fans having already trained with the first team at the age of just 15. He has already signed contracts under both Nike and Red Bull who already believe he will be a future star.

Characteristics:
It is easy to see why. The 16-year-old is a natural talent. He has superb dribbling skills, with the ball sticking to his foot he is able to match this with his unstoppable pace to slip past opposition midfielders and defenders with ease. This makes him a key man amongst the youth squads and may also see him as a vital attacking player within the first team.
His passing ability is also class, he is able to make fancy passing look easy playing teammates through whilst on the attack whilst also being able to pick out players in the opposition box with simple crosses as well as rabona's. These factors are what make the Italian so versatile in attacking positions. He is able to play most naturally in the centre attacking midfield position being able to lead the attacks using his pace whilst also being able to dispatch the ball to others, although is he is highly capable on both wings. His play suggests he has vision with the ability to pick out sublime passes, although there are points once taking on one player that he feels the urge to take on more instead of dispatching it to teammates in a better position. Although this will most likely change with more first team experience.

Mastour is also gifted when it comes to shooting, although only with his preferred foot. He is strong when shooting from distance, perhaps due to the opportunities he produces for himself by skipping past a players into space. He is also a player who will pounce on opportunities which fall in front of him, whether it be mistakes from the goalkeeper or defence being able to react in a similar way to Alexis Sanchez is his recent performance against Sunderland.
Hachim is an all around talented player in his current position within the youth teams he is physically ready although breaking into the first team competitively may take a little adapting to. Defending he does not seem as gifted as he is attacking wise, but he is able to retrive the ball from the defenders kick-starting the attack by providing to other players or going it alone. Although as a first team footballer Mastour will have to make use of his team mates as much as possible.

Future:
His future at AC Milan does look bright, it would be exceedingly wise of him to stay at Milan for a few more years so his game has reached his full potential. Reports had suggested his dream team would be Real Madrid, although looking at there current squad it would be difficult to consistently play first team football even though he is talented. Other clubs may still show interest and the money may be tempting, but in order to reach the best possible ability he needs the first team experience that he may not necessarily get at many other clubs.
