Defence:
RB – Hector Bellerin
The youngster has made the position his own this season after Debuchy’s injury. Though he tends to make the odd mistake defensively, there is no reason for Wenger not to trust him.
LB – Kieran Gibbs
Although Monreal has been in terrific form this season, Wenger has opted for Gibbs in the Cup games. Gibbs has also started more games recently which could be an indication of the Arsenal manager’s plans to start him for the Cup final as well.
CB – Per Mertesacker
Benteke’s pace is to be feared but the big German’s positioning and anticipation must not be underestimated. He has been a rock for most of the season for the Gunners and unless a freak injury occurs before now and the Cup Final, he will continue his place in the starting eleven.
CB – Laurent Koscielny
He should recover from his minor injury in time for the Cup final and reclaim his place alongside the German.
