Liverpool defender Glen Johnson could be packing his bags for a long-awaited exit after dropping a big hint on social media.
The 30-year-old's contract at Anfield will has expired at the end of the season and after the club decided against offering him a new deal, it seems like the game of the 2014/15 Premier League season at Stoke could be his last in the famous red shirt.
The England International tweeted this just hours before Sunday’s kick-off at the Britannia Stadium:
Johnson has been strongly linked with a move to Italian side Roma and Turkish giants Galatasaray, while many Liverpool fans laughed in disbelief when reports from Spain suggested Barcelona were interested in a short-term deal.
Johnson's exit will pave the way for 22-year-old Jon Flanagan to enjoy a more prominent first-team role, who has recently penned a contract extension with his boyhood club. Brendan Rodgers would also look to strengthen his defence further over the summer transfer window.
