Arsenal and Manchester United are now favorites to sign German winger Marco Reus after Los Blancos today pulled out of the running for the player.
According to AS, Real Madrid had the option to sign Reus last summer but they chose to go for James Rodriguez instead.
Real Madrid are not considering to buy a creative player while the likes of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Luka Modric are at the club.
The reports also claim that the Spanish giants could return with a bid for Reus in the future but it is now likely he will leave for an English club in the upcoming transfer window.
It is understood that United are in pole position to sign the 25-year-old from Dortmund but are set to face stiff competition from Arsenal, who also tried to sign Reus last summer before he got injured.
