5. Andre Villas-Boas - £6.25 million

Former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas earns an incredible £6.25 million a year at Russian outfit Zenit Saint-Petersburg. The Portuguese signed a two year contract replacing Luciano Spalletti before the end of the 2013-14 season.

The ex-Tottenham boss has since then steered the club to their fifth league title in his first full season with Zenit last year with two games to spare.

Although Villas-Boas has attracted some criticism regarding Zenit’s seemingly negative style of play, it has not been a bad year for the 37-year-old in the financial front in Russia’s second biggest city.
