Tottenham vs Manchester City Preview

Manchester City travel to London to take on Tottenham in an early kick off on Saturday for this week's most high profile clash in the Premier league. Tottenham have been struggling in the league so far this season and a victory here would mean a lot to them.

Tottenham vs Manchester City
Tottenham have not produced the most exciting football so far this season and they have struggled a lot in the goalscoring department, finding the net only five times in six EPL games. They will need to change that if they are to get anything past Manchester City who look really dangerous in their attack. The midweek loss to city rivals Arsenal will have hurt Tottenham badly and another loss here will do more damage to their team morale.

Tottenham will be looking at Harry Kane to return to his scoring ways. The English striker who set the league on fire last year, is yet to score this season and with Spurs lacking any real option to rotate upfront, they will soon need him back and firing again soon. Son Heung-Min can play as a striker but it is unlikely that Pochettino will drop Kane. Tottenham's squad is close to a clean bill of health with the only absence being Bentaleb.

Manchester City are leading the table and have been by far the best team in the league so far. But defeat against Juventus followed another loss against West Ham and if they lose points here, it will ruin all the early momentum their squad had. City were terrible at the back in the absence of skipper Vincent Kompany and will be hoping that he can recover in time for the early kick off.

City have a good record against Spurs and have scored 27 goals against them in their last 8 meetings. Sergio Aguero will be leading the line for City but his form will be a cause for concern. The Argentine's ability is never in question but he has found the net only once this campaign and Wilfred Bony is also not in great form. Pellegrini would want his main striker to get back to destructive form as soon as possible. He will also be hoping that Silva and Kompany will be fit in time for the match.

It is an away game for City but Tottenham has been poor recently and even if Kompany is not playing, Tottenham will struggle to score a goal. City has lots of options in attack, and even if Aguero doesn't fire, they have Sterling, Toure, De Bruyne and a lot more who can score.

Predicted score: Tottenham 0-2 Manchester City
