Former Manchester United player Gary Neville appointed Valencia head coach

Following the departure of Nuno as head coach of Valencia CF on 30th November, 2015, former Manchester United right back Gary Neville has been appointed as head coach of the Spanish club until the end of the 2015-2016 La Liga season.

Club officials reported, Neville will take over the first team from 6th December, 2015, while his first game will be the 2015-2016 UEFA Champions League match against Lyon on 9th December.

Delighted to hear about his appointment, Gary Neville said,“I am absolutely thrilled to be given this opportunity with Valencia. Valencia are a huge football club of immense standing and I know from my time as a player the passion and dedication of the Valencia fans."

 He added about what he feels about the players at Valencia by saying,“I am really looking forward to working with the club’s talented group of players and am excited about the challenge ahead.”

Gary Neville will team up again with brother Phil Neville who is currently assisting interim Valencia coach Voro.

This was confirmed by England national team manager Roy Hodgson that Gary Neville will continue to be a part of the England setup preparing for the 2016 Euro's. Hodgson said: “I'm delighted that Gary has decided to take this excellent opportunity. It's the right moment in time for him and I'm 100 per cent behind his decision to join Valencia as the new head coach."
