Claudio Bravo for De Gea?

It seems Manchester United are keeping tabs on Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo. United fear the recent transfer ban inflicted on Real Madrid may force the Spanish club to go after De Gea in the current transfer window.

De Gea has been outstanding for United this season and has been one of the few positives for the men in red.

De Gea was very much in demand in the summer with the move breaking because the Spanish giants and United were involved in some paperwork saga just before the end of the transfer window. It meant that Keylor Navas remained at Madrid and De Gea at United.

However, after being dropped from the first team for Romero, the Spanish goalkeeper signed a new contract and was restored to the starting lineup. Both Navas and De Gea have been outstanding for their respective clubs this season.

However, the recent transfer ban which has been inflicted on Madrid would not allow them to sign any player in the next summer transfer window and in 2017.

Hence, United fear that Madrid may move for De Gea again. As a result, they have considered Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo as a potential replacement.

Although Bravo has been outstanding for the Catalans, it still remains a rare possibility that United would sell their best player in such a precarious situation that the team is facing.
