Ramires to China?

It seems that English Premier League champions are bracing themselves for a busy final week in the January transfer window. There have been reports that their Brazilian midfielder Ramires is set for a move to Chinese Super league club Jiangsu Suning.

The former Benfica man has struggled for playing time under Interim manager Guus Hiddink with the Dutchman preferring Mikel and Matic in midfield. If the move does materialize, it would seem as a shock considering the player recently signed a four year contract with the club.

The Chinese club is managed by former Chelsea player Dan Petrescu and the deal seems to be hovering around £20 million.

Ramires was signed by Ancelotti in the summer of 2010 and has been a key player for the Pensioners for the last five years.

However, the Brazilian International has lately struggled to make an impact for the first team with him being absent even on the bench in the game against Everton and Arsenal. His last start was in the game against Leicester City which Chelsea lost.

Jiangsu Suning is currently training in Malaga and it has been reported that Ramires may join his teammates in Spain before moving to China.

His departure would certainly leave a gap in that Chelsea midfield. Apart from Ramires, it seems that Loic Remy may also move out of the club with Pato being the possible replacement.
