Is Hiddink looking to sell Remy?

There have been reports stating that Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink is prepared to sell Loic Remy if they get the right replacement. The French forward, who was instrumental as a backup striker to Diego Costa in Chelsea's title win last season, has been a bit part player in this campaign.

Chelsea want replacement before letting Loic Remy leave
Although Diego Costa was not able to replicate his form this season, Remy was never able to establish himself ahead of the Spain International under Mourinho. Now, it seems Hiddink feels the same way and is prepared to let go off the striker if the right player has been brought in.

Newcastle and Aston Villa are two clubs who are definitely interested in the former QPR striker who is believed to be valued around 14 million pounds. Remy himself may prefer Newcastle who are in slightly better position in the league and having already played for the club earlier in his career. On the other hand, if Chelsea indeed decide to sell Remy, they would definitely be in a precarious situation pertinent to their strikers.

With Falcao injured and certainly far from his best and Bamford still raw, it may be a risk if Chelsea do not get the right replacement for Remy as a backup for Costa.
