In major news for the Anfield faithful, it has been widely reported that former Brazilian sensation Alexandre Pato would be making a switch to Liverpool for around £11 million. The move is expected to materialize in the current January transfer window.
The Brazilian was very much tracked by major European clubs in the summer with Manchester United being reported as making a late bid towards the end of the summer transfer window. Sources have now reported that the striker from Corinthians would be making a move to Anfield in the present transfer window.
Once a young sensation, the forward faded away in his first European stint at AC Milan. One of the major reasons for his ordinary performances was reported to be down to the number of injuries that the Brazilian striker had to endure. However, Pato, currently on loan at Sao Paulo has scored 26 goals in the calendar year of 2015 and looks to be back to his best.
Liverpool are currently struggling in the striker department with Origi and Sturridge in particular, facing injuries. The £32 million Benteke has also failed to adapt to Klopp's system. However, if the transfer does go as expected, it would be great to see a fit and in form Pato grace the Premier League.
