Vidic leaves Inter by Mutual Consent

Nemanja Vidic has left Inter Milan, with the Italian Club and the former Manchester United captain agreeing to terminate the player’s contract. Vidic joined Inter in the summer of 2014 after enjoying a stellar career at Old Trafford.

He appeared for the club on 28 occasions in the last campaign wherein Inter did not have a great season with them finishing eighth in the league. However, after the arrival of their former manager Mancini midway through last season, the club has done quite well this season. Mancini has made Inter a force to reckon with by making the Italian club as one of the favorites for the Scudetto this season.

Unfortunately, Vidic has not been able to be a part of this resurgent Inter side with his injuries certainly taken the toll on the central defender. It seems that Mancini also does not believe that the former Serbian international could play an important role for the club henceforth.

There certainly has not been any talk with respect to retirement for Vidic and it seems that the Serbian is pondering over a potential move to the MLS, which certainly has been one of the biggest attractions for top European players, who are in the twilight of their careers.
