It seems that Everton want to strengthen their goalkeeping department and the man they are looking to replace their veteran Tim Howard with is Chelsea's number two Asmir Begovic.
Roberto Martinez has identified the Bosnian goalkeeper as the ideal man to replace their fading goalkeeper Howard. The US international has been outstanding for the Toffees in the last decade but has seen his form dip in the last few seasons.
Howard is expected to be returning to his homeland in the summer and play in the MLS with Colorado Rapids.
Everton would certainly be looking to take advantage of the situation with Begovic who has not been getting regular playing time since the return of Chelsea's first choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Begovic was signed as a replacement for Arsenal bound Petr Cech for around £8 million and had performed admirably during the time that Courtois was injured.
However, after the return of the Belgian, it was difficult for the Bosnia International to get any playing time and was reported to be upset when he was not in the starting eleven even in the FA Cup game against MK Dons.
Begovic wants to get more playing time and a move to Everton would certainly give him the required opportunity.
