Leicester midfielder Riyad Mahrez has been the talk of the town in this Premier league season. The fact that the Algerian midfielder is having the same impact that Eden Hazard had for Chelsea last season speaks volumes.
Hence, it is not a surprise that Italian Champions Juventus are currently tracking the Leicester midfielder. Juventus, which had a terrible start to the season, have been able to get their season back on track. Now, it seems that the Italian giants are interested in making a bid for the Leicester winger.
The 24 year old Mahrez has also been attracting interesting from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal. However, it depends whether the winger wants to maintain his status as a top player at his current club or play a squad player in the teams of big European clubs.
The fact that the Algerian has recently extended his current deal till 2019 states his desire to stay with his current club. Mahrez is in contention for the Player of the year award and it was obvious that there would be suitors for the exciting winger at the end of the season.
The player, who joined the club for a paltry 450,000 Euros from French club Le Havre in 2014, will certainly not go for cheap if any club is interested in signing him. He has made over 50 appearances for the club and has been a key component of Claudio Ranieri's Leicester side.
Unless they endure a huge loss in form, Leicester will very much be in the Champions League next season and it would be important for the club to keep their best players if they have to enjoy a similar success next season.
