Lampard praises Ranieri

Current Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri was the manager of Chelsea when Chelsea legend Frank Lampard joined the Blues in 2001.

Frank Lampard: 'If it wasn’t for Claudio Ranieri, I wouldn’t have had the career I had'
The Italian managed the dynamic English midfielder from 2001 to 2004 before being replaced by Jose Mourinho and Lampard certainly believes his career turned out well due to the presence of the Italian at the helm.

It certainly is a great comment coming from a player who has been regarded as one of the best English midfielders and arguably Chelsea's best player. The former Chelsea midfielder stated that Ranieri helped him in becoming a more complete midfielder and owes his Premier league success to him.

The former West Ham player was more attacking in his approach but the Italian helped him to improve his defensive side as well.

Lampard is happy seeing his former manager doing well at Leicester City and feels Ranieri deserves his success. He also added that people have been expecting Leicester City to finally lose some points but they still lead the table with just nine games to go in the season.
