Is Zlatan coming to Chelsea FC?

After the defeat against Bournemouth on Saturday, Mourinho and Chelsea certainly are in big trouble. The moment was perfect for the Blues, who were enjoying a mini unbeaten run, with most of their rivals apart from Arsenal, dropping points.

However, Chelsea have been surprisingly beaten at home by premier league newbies Bournemouth with their main striker Costa again starting on the bench.

Diego Costa has been on the news recently for the wrong reasons. His spat with Mourinho is still very much grabbing the headlines. There are widespread rumors that Chelsea are on the lookout for a striker. If indeed that is the case, Mourinho would happily welcome the news of a certain Zlatan rejecting his contract at PSG.

The current contract of Zlatan ends in June 2016 and by rejecting this new deal there is a good possibility that the star forward may reunite with his former boss. Chelsea certainly need a major psychological boost after what looks like a miserable season for them. The capture of Zlatan can be a great signing from a short term point of view and they look the only side capable of matching his ambitions and wages. Zlatan has never played in the Premier League and for him personally as well, it would a lucrative challenge.

However, if Chelsea indeed sign Zlatan, Costa may have to be offloaded since the possibility of two big strikers vying for that one spot would be tricky for Mourinho to handle. The season is long and a lot can change during this period. The possibility of Mourinho himself being at Chelsea and the club actually looking for a short term solution in Zlatan is also slightly doubtful. However, the prospect of the epitome of ego, Zlatan, playing in the premier league is certainly relishing.

Ibrahmovic and Mourinho share a great relationship and Zlatan admires the Chelsea manager enough to play for him again. The Swedish striker also mentioned in his autobiography that Mourinho is the best coach he has ever worked with. The chances of PSG forward playing for the Blues is high, considering the fact the PSG manager Laurent Blanc recently accepted that Zlatan may leave the club in 2016.
